All About the Lekes.
This is our story. Two best friends, Kelly Stivers and Letica (Tisha) O'Hare, launching their dream.
We were sitting on the floor in the middle of Tish's living room floor one afternoon making tutus for our girls. Tish had wanted something for her soon to be 6-year-old's birthday party and I a Christmas present for my then 4-month-old. "We should do this to start out our business" we thought (we'd been discussing ways to provide income for our families while maintaining our roles as stay-at-home moms for some time). We then began discussing names for our company. We'd been playing with LeKe for some time, Tish's idea. Le, standing for Letica, and Ke, standing for myself (Kelly). This was funny, because our plan was and still is to eventually expand into cloth diapers.
And so our dream became a reality. With in a few days we had our facebook page up and runing. With in a week we had reached 100 fans and we had our first order! Our flash giveaways and such have now put us over 500 fans!
We've faced our fair share of challenges since we've opened for business, but we both have a passion for LeKe Baby and what it stands for. We have many goals including adding more items and eventually launching two different donation lines, one for breast cancer in memory of Tish's grandmother and one for Alexander's disease in honor of my baby cousin, Maddie.
